Who we are

hercityguide.com is an online resource guide and community for women, city specific. We are not the answer to your prayers, although we’d like to think we are. We aren’t in the business to tell you who we think is the best in the city. We are here to provide you with choices and allow you to read/write reviews to make the best decision for you and your family. We are the next generation of white pages with a lot of bells and whistles. We are the internet's unmatched, localized destination for women and we are pretty proud of that!

Why we got started

Founded by Aimee Jacobson, a Johnson County, Kansas woman who spent most of her free time running around town finding what she needed to make her house a home and her life, her husband and kids’ lives organized & fulfilled. When she couldn’t find what she needed, she asked friends. Asked for suggestions for restaurants, decorators, summer camps, electricians, preschools, painters, karate lessons, etc. When her friends couldn’t offer a suggestion, she searched the web, only to become frustrated with the overwhelming task of finding what she needed. She realized if there was one website with all this information, life would be much easier. And that day, hercityguide.com was born.

What we do

We make woman’s lives easier and we do our best to support local businesses. We also provide unmatched content, membership benefits & rewards and community information for our members.
