Who we are
hercityguide.com is an online resource guide and community for women, city specific. Our goal is to support locally owned businesses and connect them with the local community. We aren’t in the business to tell you who we think is the best in the city but we are here to provide you with choices and allow you to read/write reviews to make the best decision for you and your family. We are the next generation of white pages with a lot of bells and whistles, including a growing Rewards Card Program, offering members unmatched rewards for buying locally. We are the internet's unmatched, localized destination for women and we are pretty proud of that!
Why we got started
Founded by Aimee Jacobson, a Johnson County, Kansas woman who spent most of her free time running around town finding what she needed to make her house a home and her life, her husband and kids’ lives organized & fulfilled. When she couldn’t find what she needed, she asked friends. Asked for suggestions for restaurants, decorators, summer camps, electricians, preschools, painters, karate lessons, city events, etc. When her friends couldn’t offer a suggestion, she searched the web, only to become frustrated with the overwhelming task of finding what she needed. She realized if there was one website with all this information, life would be much easier. And that day, hercityguide.com was born.
What we do
We make woman’s lives easier and we do our best to support local businesses. We also provide unmatched content, events & promotions, membership benefits & rewards and community information for our members. Weekly Deal Sales & Policies
hercityguide.com partners with local merchants to offer Weekly Deals to the Kansas City community. Payment for all Weekly Deals is made to hercityguide and hercityguide is responsible for ensuring the Weekly Deal Voucher is sent to buyers via email. Weekly Deal Vouchers are downloaded by the buyer for use with the Merchant. Once the transaction is completed and the buyer receives their Weekly Deal Voucher, all communication and customer service should be initiated directly with the Merchant for the Weekly Deal purchased. Refunds on Weekly Deal Vouchers are permitted only for duplicate orders. Hercityguide cannot be held responsible for lost or unused Vouchers.
